About me

I am Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Coimbra and researcher at the Center for Business and Economics Research (CeBER). My research interest focuses on Industrial Organization and Schumpeterian Growth Theory, and their applications to firm dynamics, productivity, financial constraints, entrepreneurship and innovation, regional knowledge, and exports. I have authored several articles in international scientific journals, book chapters and books.

Comparative Analysis of Enterprise Data (CAED) Conference

The 17th CAED conference on research using enterprise microdata was held in Coimbra, Portugal. The event promotes scientific research using enterprise microdata on a variety of topics and from different (and inter) disciplinary approaches. The conference will feature keynote presentations by Nicholas Bloom (Stanford University) and John T. Addison (University of South Carolina).
